How to solve the problem “We couldn’t connect to your DirectQuery data source or internal model. Double-check that your server and database names are correct, and that you have permission to access them.” in PowerBI

Last week, one of our customers told us that “when they refreshed one of their PowerBI reports, an error occurred”.

So I got this report in my PC and ran it in my PC, it seemed that the data execution process was OK. But then the error below popped up.

After researching, we found that some table is using old method to connect webservice of Microsoft Business Central.

And there are some tables that using a new method to connect to Business Central.

So we change the connection method and the error no longer appears.
